Gdansk
Gdańsk is a historic port city on the Baltic coast of Poland, known for its lovely old town, beautifully restored after World War II. The city has stunning architecture, including the medieval Gdańsk Crane and St. Mary's Church, one of the largest brick churches in the world. Gdańsk is also famous for its maritime heritage, amber trade, and as the birthplace of the Solidarity movement, which played a key role in ending communist rule in Eastern Europe.
